"We shared a few hours with Sonia and Rich in London in June for our pre-wedding photo-shoot and they managed to capture some of those moments in time for us to cherish forever. On the big day, we had a fantastic day and their natural style and easy going nature made us feel immediately at ease. We are thrilled with the pictures and cannot thank them enough"
Dorney Court created the most idyllic backdrop to Kirsty and Matt's big day. The grounds are nothing short of stunning and the site encompasses everything you could think of to make your wedding special. Dorney features an array of gabled roofs, charming landscaped grounds, a quaint reception barn and a courtyard along with its very own historic church.
The big day arrived and the weather was very similar to the day we met for their summer pre wedding shoot in London last June. I spent the morning with Kirsty who got ready at the her mums house capturing bridal prep, whilst Rich kept Matt company at the venue, helping him contain his nerves ahead of the ceremony! The luxury of having two photographers allows us to both capture aspects of the morning!
When it comes to style, Kirsty and Matt had this down to a T. Both being huge shoe lovers, they decided their wedding day was the perfect excuse to indulge in some serious shoe game. Kirsty wore the most perfect timeless pair of Jimmy Choo's any bride would fall weak at the knees at, with Matt wearing an equally beautiful pair of killer Louboutin black patent shoes. Kirsty teamed up her elegant Rebecca Ingram dress with vintage jewellery from Bourbon Handy, with her hair and make up perfectly created by Hair Design and Make Up By Michelle.
Kirsty made her way to the venue with her Mum, Bridesmaid and flower girl in the most fabulous vintage car which was supplied by Linara Classic Wedding Cars. The car formed an important part of the day, also providing the happy couple with the opportunity to enjoy some quality time together after the ceremony where they enjoyed a romantic drive around the grounds to catch their breaths.
The ceremony was nothing short of perfect, with heaps of natural light pouring through the church stained glass windows. Flowers were delicately tied to the ends of the church pews creating the perfect backdrop for Kirsty and Matt to say their vows. Once the I Do’s had been said, the first kiss had been had, Kirsty and Matt made their way out of the church as husband and wife to a be greeted by a shower of natural confetti by the bucket load!! We love confetti moments! It is always a good idea to bring even more than you think you need to create the perfect photo moment. The natural confetti was provided by the awesome Shropshire Petals.
The reception barn was beautifully decorated with country-esq styled floral arrangements by Penelope Hunter Flowers which complimented the pastel green colour palette Kirsty and Matt had chosen to feature throughout their day. They decided to enhance the barn room with bespoke lighting by Peachy Productions.
After an enjoying the grounds for drinks, Canapés and photos, it was time for the wedding breakfast. Being self confessed foodies, Kirsty and Matt made sure their menu reflected them and their tastes and made sure their guests were in for a treat!
After a set of speeches that covered a mixture of emotions it was time to grab some portraits within the lovely grounds of Dorney Court. K+M's wedding day ended with a fun filled party enjoyed by their family and friends!
