Wasing Park Wedding Photography | Jade + Rob

"What a fantastic duo Rich and Sonia are. To be honest, one of the biggest compliments we can give is that we didn’t even know they were there most of the time, yet somehow they managed to capture some of the most important moments of our lives perfectly. This is a true testament to how professional and talented they both are at what they do. Their work speaks for itself"

Back at the start of 2017 we met up with Jade and her fantastic fiancé Rob over a few glasses of wine and got to hear about all their wedding plans. It was so lovely to be back in contact with Jade after so many years (We went to school together originally!) and was such a privilege to be asked to capture their big day. There is nothing we love more than shooting weddings for our friends. Although there is that extra bit of pressure applied, it is also one of the most rewarding things you can be asked to do and deliver. Capturing such amazing moments for someone you know and care for. Rich and I love shooting at Wasing Park, it is one of our favourite local venues - the backdrop was just perfect for Jade + Rob’s big day!

Seeing Jade in her dress was such a special moment, her dress could not have been more perfect for her. She always looks effortlessly beautiful in her everyday life, so I knew she would look drop dead gorgeous on her wedding day. Once the dress was on, she looked nothing short of perfection. xx

Jades Memories of venue:

"We looked at maybe 3 or 4 venues before visiting Wasing Park, and it was actually Rob that knew immediately that this was OUR venue - usually it’s the bride! We’re still not sure whether it was the beauty or the privacy of the location that stole our hearts, but it sure made for a hell of a Photography shoot! Our guests could not stop talking about the location then, and they can’t now 6 months on!"

The Dress:

"Oh where do I begin? So I actually had 2 dresses at one point! To cut a long story short, I tried on the Ronald Joyce ‘Ebony’ dress at a boutique and was lied to about why it was on their sale rack. I found out why upon leaving the store and simply googling the design ID (the back necklace was completely missing, an absolute iconic piece to the dress). Through sheer bridezilla rage I went to the next boutique on my agenda and bought the first dress I “kinda liked”. What. A. Mistake. I could not stop thinking about the ‘Ebony’ dress and how beautiful the back of the dress was. My entire vision for my wedding dress was ‘its all about the back’. Thankfully, my friends and family made me see sense and I ordered the ‘Ebony’ dress by Ronald Joyce in to Bride to Be straight away. I cannot explain how patient and understanding they were with me :) fantastic service!"

The Cake:

"Natalie at Cuppies n Cream was fantastic. Our vision for our cake changed so frequently over the 12 months since we engaged with her, not to mention our colour theme changing 3 times! She offered nothing but help and advice and created one of the most beautiful cakes we have ever seen! It really blended in well with all of our decorative features."
