“Back when we decided on a November wedding we knew there was going to be a good chance of rain, when looking around venues this is something we were always keeping in mind and the moment we stepped into Rivervale barn we knew it would be perfect for us no matter what the weather. We had around 80 people to our ceremony and wanted avenue that would feel cozy and homely for our wedding day and not like it swallowed us up. On the morning of our wedding day nerves were running seriously high, the sun was shining, and we thought there might be a slight chance of a sunny day… we were seriously wrong. I spent the morning in the beautiful pamper room with my beautiful bridesmaids and Mum being glammed up by Mireya Harris (MUA) and Georgia Fuller (Hair). Tom (the groom) managed to get in his morning run!

Pauline was busy decorating our venue beautifully, flowers were everywhere, and she made our dreams turn into a reality. As the bunting and fairy lights went up all over the dining hall and suddenly the whole day became very real. Shortly after the registrar arrived, the heavens opened with rain pouring and Tom and I flipped in our emotions. Where I had been nervous all morning as soon as I spoke to the lady marrying us I calmed down and Tom went from being as cool as a cucumber to super nervous!

We had our dresses on and flowers in hand, Sophie from Galloping Gourmet had a team of umbrella holders ready to get us over from the honeymoon suite to the ceremony room but luckily the rain broke for a few minutes.

We rushed across into the main entrance and I hooked onto my Dad’s arm. With my bridesmaids in position, the music started, and we were off, the rest is a very love filled blur.

The ceremony was amazing, everything we could’ve ever dreamed of and more. From the photos alone, you can see how much it meant to us and those who shared the day with us. We really had the most magical day filled with amazing food from Galloping Gourmet, guest appearances from our doggos (Oreo and Nala) and an incredible DJ and pizza in the evening. We quite literally have been walking (and dancing) on cloud nine since!”
