Christ Church + The Perch Wedding Photography | Emma + Michael — RS Brown Photography

Wow! What a setting! It was our second time shooting at a Cathedral (The first being at Eton back in 2016) and the first time at the sensational Christ Church. Christ Church is Oxford’s iconic college and as Michael had studied there previously he was able to get married there.

Sonia began the day with Emma for preparations whilst I headed straight to the college to be with Michael as he got ready for their big day. The Cathedral where they said their 'I do's' was simply stunning. It really is a thing of beauty and it was an absolute pleasure to shoot there! Michael and Emma had access for them and their guests to the private gardens for their drinks reception. Very few people get to access the gardens so it really was amazing for everyone - us included!

Once we had shot some portraits in the grounds it was time to head off to the private boat they had arranged that would provide them with their transport to their reception venue. A short journey later they arrived at The Perch to a confetti filled greeting! The marquee was beautifully decorated with many personal details, including custom made tea towels for their guests to take away. It was a lovely touch.

Upon the conclusion of the speeches Michael joined his colleague Mark and their band who have played together since their school days band to perform. Emma enjoyed the moment with a dance with her new mother in law!

We headed back out for some more portraits before the first dance and the start of what turned out to be an EPIC wedding party!
